Philippians 1:28 (KJV)
And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God.
At times when we want to go into any venture like marriage, business, studies etc. we tend to be terrified by what we see, the sound we hear and even the advice we receive from our friends not knowing that the things that are terrifying us are for the Lord’s glory and our salvation.
Ignorant of this fact is what makes us flinch and dodge in the face of an adversary or adversity. Don’t be intimidated in the face of any adversary, we should maintain our christian integrity, vision/mission, focus in the face of the adversaries and troubles for they will actually lead to our salvation.
2 Timothy 1:7- For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind [KJV].
Do not let that which is before you become an obstacle; for most of the time our obstacles is always our ignorance of the God we serve or not relating well with Him.
At the valley of Ella in 1 Samuel 17:1-9, they were all ready for the battle but none of them were able to have taken any action against Goliath the adversary. Goliath yelled at the army of Israel; like every situation around us will always do to us. (1 Samuel 17:22-24)
Moses was also terrified by Pharaoh and the Israelite even though he was a stammerer and educated in the land of Egypt in Pharaoh’s house.
Your education does not make you courageous but the word of God.
Proverbs 28:1 – The wicked flee when no man pursueth; but the righteous are bold as a lion.(KJV). Christian living is a call to courage Joshua 1:1-8 and so courage helps us in many ways and areas of our christian life. It helps us to conquer new territory, for everybody that overcame were people of great courage; and it is necessary for our christian life and journey. Get encouragement through God’s word for we are all called to be courageous.
