Text: Isaiah 54:1-3
Emphasis in verse three: 1. Sing O barren,thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing,and cry aloud,thou that didst not travail with child; for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife,saith the LORD. 2 Enlarge the place of thy tent,and let them stretch forth the curtains: spare not, lengthen thy cords,and strengthen thy stake; 3. For thou shall break forth on the right hand and on the left,and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles,and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.
See how good and great our God is [omnipresent] who is with us here and also with our siblings who are not present here; He knows everything [omniscient] and have the power to do all things[omnipotent].
The word of God to us today is that “WE SHALL BREAK FORTH” just as He has said it from the beginning of this year He is still able to fulfill.
“There will be no breaking forth if there is no enlargement”; you are breaking forth from where you are.
There is a part we have to play, which is that we need to prepare;
Isaiah 40:3 – the voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
Proverbs 16:1 – The preparations of the heart belong to man,But the answer of the tongue is from the LORD [NKJV]. It is the room we prepare for God that He will fill, the reason He said “enlarge the place of thy tent”[verse 2 of Isaiah 54].
We cannot break forth without God,when we are ready to break forth, God is always ready to make Us break forth, But if we allow discouragement to set in and we sit there in that situation ,we may not get there. We shall break forth if we persist and never give up. Matthew 11:12 – And from the days of John the baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.
Never say you cannot or that you have nothing, for you have everything through God.
God wants to bless us but we have a responsibility to make the vessel available for Him to use; “a woman who said I have nothing but a pot of oil in 2 Kings 4:2 – And Elisha said unto her,what shall I do for thee? Tell me,what hast thou in the house?And she said,Thine handmaid hath not thing in the house,save a pot of oil. [KJV], she limited herself and the flow of the oil seized for lack of more vessel, it’s all in our hand but most of the time we keep blaming the devil and our enemies [the woman should have gone to the next village to get more vessels] we must not be lazy in anything we do, neither are we expected to limit ourselves or our God.
We must avoid the wrong company, for we cannot be able to break forth with then [Genesis 12:1] Now the LORD had said to Abram,Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house,unto a land that I will shew thee; there is a time we need to step out and approach God alone because He wants us to reason the way He does and not the way the wrong company around us. Abraham did not see why God wanted him to depart,and so he was blaming others. “Wherever your vision stops that is where you stop”, we must watch the things we say with our mouth as our mouth is given to us to speak His word; and so we must understand the importance of words [the king speaks, the local government chairman speaks, the president and other leaders, and we see the power of the words they spoke.[2 Kings 7:1-2] Elisha said, hear ye the word of the Lord. Thus says the Lord tomorrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria; 2. So an officer on whose hand the king learned answered the man of God and said , look, if the Lord would make windows in heaven, could this be? That man was too quick to speak against, and question the ability of the word of God, so Elisha said to the man; you will see it happen but not be a partaker.
When God said He will do something for us, do we believe and expect Him to do what He said or do we just overlook it? We must learn to be slow to speak or to question the ability of God. Let’s remember the word from our Head Pastor [Pastor Sunday Adebayo Babalola] that God told him “it is time to build” even at the time he was a retiree, and he believed God’s word, we ought to believe God that same way; now we can see the building going on. Time in the month, the season or even the environment does not matter nor determine the fulfillment of God’s word.
The grace to speak well, be a good husband or wife, being successful in our business, or to even train our children well etc. then adding His mercy to the grace crowns it all.
“WE SHALL BREAK FORTH ON EVERY SIDE IN JESUS NAME “
